ok here's how to run 2 mu accounts in 1 pc , it's pretty easy , what you do is create another windows account(u already have 1 account) and then log into it , set up ur mu stuff (windowed mode etc) then start mu log on with 1 account . then switch user!(dont log off) go to your other windows account and start mu there .
easy as that .
thought i'd post it since no1 posted it . BTW wen u switch user ur other mu account doesnt log off.

Nice guide Anas, I used this way too before find about sandboxie :D

Hope is not a problem, I tryed to explain your idea with some more details:

First time make sure your PC have at least 2 accounts you will need the second account to run another MU:

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/2606/2accounts.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/832/2accounts.jpg/)

In my PC the second account is "Guest"
I already have a MU running on the first PC account (Paulito) I want to run another MU so, I'll change the PC account from Paulito to Guess:

Going to start menu:

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/1974/logoffi.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/logoffi.jpg/)

and I have to log off current account (Paulito) to run the second MU on "Guest"
When you log off one PC account, your MU is not going out.

Let's log off first PC account and switch to the Guest account:

http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/5453/swich.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/231/swich.jpg/)

Select Switch User and

http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/933/usersb.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/508/usersb.jpg/)

The "1 program running" that you see under Paulito account is the first MU logged.

Alright so, I switch from first account that already have a MU runing to the Guest account:

http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/6026/seconduser.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/716/seconduser.jpg/)

Here you have to configure again the settings for your second MU, you will run (settings like you account ID that will be saved to log in, graphics settings, WindowMU, sound settings etc)

When you done configured your second MU you can run it on Guest account in the same way you did with the first MU (on the first PC account)

Click Main or Launcher and log the second MU:

http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/6889/logsecacc.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/638/logsecacc.jpg/)

Thats all, when you want to switch the MU's accounts just go again in start>Log off>Switch User:

http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/108/runing.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/runing.jpg/)

There's now 1 program running on each PC account (1 MU on the each account)
easy to switch your MU accounts, and if you want both for training you can use WindowMU for each MU.

Hope I didnt make someone confused :D
Gratz Anas for the idea
by the way.. Lucky already made one: http://forum.twilightmuonline.com/showthread.php?t=22337 :D:D

I think it was posted before. I used to do this as well but I didn't really want to create a new windows user just for a second MU window. It just seemed sloppy to me. Sandboxie is a great alternative.

It works really well....only problem I find is that I couldnt party myself, or trade mylself. Because I was not able to switch users fast enough.

Sandboxie lets you do that, plus you can keep an eye on both screens :D

with Win XP you don't need sandboxie to have 2 games on 1 screen.
1. run 1st game like usual preferably with WindowsMU.
2. right-click main.exe (or shortcut) and choose "Run As...". this window will popup:

http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/9788/runasz.png (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/846/runasz.png/)

3. choose different from current win user and you'r done.

NOTE:
- remember to set winmode ON and proper game resolution for 2nd win user. You can do it by running laucher.exe (choose options) as 2nd user as described above or simply login on to 2nd user and running settings there.
- 2nd user has to be password protected.
- you can't use WindowsMU for 2nd game (at least i can't when i try :p)
- run the game using main.exe! use laucher.exe only to change settings.

I'm not saying there are rules, nor questioning your word, I'm just surprised to hear about it since we've brought the sandboxie subject up before and there were no reactions to it.

Thanks for the link.
To be honest, I don't find using sandboxe a big deal. Yes it is a third party program but it doesn't conflict with our policy. You will NOT get banned for using sandboxie since I have tested it myself and there's nothing fishy about it.

However, I understand Frank's frustration at seeing whole discussions about some kind of program that interferes with MU. Therefore, and to prevent more similar situations, this thread will be closed. The "guide" is there for everyone but if you need help running it or have any other questions, you'll have to find the answers on OWN YOUR OWN. We don't offer support for anything unrelated to our server and clients.

Thank you.
