Sunday night hit bad in the Gap area with people loseing houses and power down
Last night we had sever heavy rain fall where we had a lot of flash flooding and roads closed I wasn't even able to get to work

=[ lol, our storm lasted like 3 mins lol, jus a bit of hail and thentoday was sunny skies, was kinda wierd

anyway, i hope everythings ok simon and beth =]

we have flash flooding warnings for tonight continuing downpour... ( I live in East Gippsland On the Mitchell river ( but our house is on the hill so the house will be ok)

Victoria

A cold front moved across Victoria last night. A low pressure system will
develop near the Gippsland coast during today. The low is expected to deepen
significantly off the Gippsland coast of Victoria later today and early Sunday
before moving away to the east Sunday night. Rainfall totals in excess of 100 mm
are expected in East Gippsland during Saturday night and Sunday. Rainfall totals
of up to 5mm have been recorded in the 24 hours until 9am Saturday morning in
East Gippsland. This rainfall has not caused any significant stream rises. The
heavy rainfall expected during Saturday and Sunday is likely to cause stream
rises in East Gippsland from later Saturday or early Sunday. Areas of moderate
flooding, with the risk of major flooding, are expected to develop in East
Gippsland catchments from early Sunday morning.

Catchment specific flood warnings have been issued for the Mitchell, Tambo and
Snowy Rivers.

Storm force wind warning for Gippsland Lakes
Winds south to southwesterly and increasing up to 30/50 knots Sunday morning.

The Bureau will continue to monitor the situation, and will issue catchment
specific flood warnings if and when required

yikes i hope everything truns out alright lizi

we have wierd weather here, had a continous down pour form 2-3. before and after that its has been nice sunny skies lol, i was even able to play cricket abt an hour and a half after the downpour ^^

yeah lol, not so much on the western side, more on the east

so yeah were flooded ^^ and its still raining = more flooding and this wings broke our corn in the veggie patch and it pulled up one out our roses the wind and rain are still here i hope it passes but the sky is so black i doubt it will. next flood update from the BOM at 9am.
