Fist signature in months - Magic Gladiator

Sooo...
It's been a looooooong while since I've made a signature.
Actually it's been a rather long time since I made any artwork in Photoshop.
However, I want to get back into Photoshop so I decided to start off with my first signature in months.
I've chosen a Mu related render just for the heck of it. :P
Here's the result, please rate it honestly.
If you have anything that you dislike or think can be done better say so! That way I can learn. :P

mmm heres some things

-imho it looks like blade knight wearing dark phoenix set without helm
-the image is pretty blurry and dark but i guess thats how its meant

i'd give it 8½/10

I like the background effect, it has great clear colors and is very detailed.
The Render however, doesn't fit AT ALL.
Like Shocky (partially said): it's blurry, while the rest gives a "sharp" vibe, if you get what I mean ^^.

I'm not too fond of the color if the mg too. If it were up to my you should edit the render or preferably get a completely different one. Blend it in, without using the blurry edges, because they just don't fit with the rest of the signature.
And if you insist on using this render you should consider editing the color of the MG's armour a tad bit.

So:

Overal effects and background: Good
Render + cohesion with the rest of the sig: bad
Text, border, etc: readable, doesn't attract too much attention and fits with the rest.

It's a render, that's all that matters. xD

This is rather interesting, the background effect was created using only the render itself and 1 C4D. xD
The blurry render is indeed a problem. I can't fix that though as the image it comes from has a pure white background and this is the best way to cut it from the image. I could look for another render.

Much better ^^.
Although, somehow, the wings keep attracting a lot of my attention, which is a shame really.
Maybe you could let the black parts in particular fade away a bit more, it might help.

ok this is offtopic but it really got on my head

this BK/MG blending has:

-mg wings
-i think bk set (DP)
-brown hair like bk

this thing freaks me out ^^

lol, Like I told you before, it's a MG.

The hair style is clearly MG, and because judo softened the color of the hair it seems brownish, but it's actually bright red, just like a MG.
The armour is Thunder Armor. In the original image the color is more purple, thus more MG, like.
But for it to fit into the sig more, Judo edited the color of the armour, thus, by chance, making it Dark Phoenix colored.
