That is a lot of bang for the buck, with monitor and drives it takes me a bit over my target of money to spend. But I've been a good boy all year so maybe Santa can kick in some help that I can save until spring also.

Well my PC finally went belly up, it's toast. I have to use the wifes PC for now.
I've been looking at several setups. At the moment I am leaning towards one set up like this ( most I think I will be able to afford when I get my tax return )
CASE: Sigma Gaming Windstorm Mid-Tower ( 5 120mm fans )
800 Watt power supply
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition Quad-Core
MOTHERBOARD: MSI K9N SLI-F V.2 NVIDIA nForce 570 LT SLI Chipset DDR2/800 SATA RAID PCI-Express
MEMORY: 4GB (2GBx2) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Memory w/ Heat Spreader)
2 - VIDEO CARDS: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 1GB 16X PCI Express (EVGA Powered by NVIDIA)
OS: Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 (64-bit Edition)
Couple of questions
1. Do you think I would be better with the 2 video cards listed or should I go with one NVIDIA GeForce GTX295 X2 1.7GB 16X PCIe with the option of adding a second one like it later down the road when they come down in price?
2. Is a sound card worth buying or just use the on board sound?

Well I finally got my new pc, spent the last couple of days trying to make sense of Vista^^. So far I'm not too impressed, however I decided beforehand to give it a fair chance. This weekend I will try to salvage what I can from the hard drives in my old pc. ( an external back up drive is next on my wish list ).
While I have the case open I have to check out why my front ports for my headphones and mic don't work, guessing that they aren't cabled up.
Well I'm off to work, soon as I get everything set up the way I want it then I can get back to playing MU

Well I'm finally getting things worked out with the new system. Had to go a few rounds with a problem of finding network each time I rebooted or system waking up from sleep mode. It turns out that apparently Vista and Nforce motherboard based lan connections don't play nice together. After much trial and error and much searching on the net, I installed a separate ethernet card and 'Poof' all is well.
Now maybe I can actually get back to my normal 'addict' mode ^^
