Hello Renji.
I will first state my status, which is: Member of Serenity. So you will observe that I will try do defend one of my fellow guildman here.

First of all tell us how much he stayed in-between the gate, being afk and attacking, or just standing there. From the rules I read that a person is afk when he/she is afk for more then 3 minutes.
Now as to my view on the screenshot:
It doesn't seem to me he is afk and gate-killing as he is using tornados. Thats very inefficient for afk gate-killing Phantom Knights. Also, he is not that powerful to do that. My guess would be that he KSed you a bit and maybe you got angry and thought maybe it's illegal to do such an annoying think, but it's only a guess.

Secondly, he might be waiting for something, and just did some tornados untill that person showed up. I see a MG part in the screenshot. If I am not mistaken, that is our(my) very friend and guildman Atari. I could guess again that they planned to go to PK cage to grind together. Hax might have stopped in between the gates, as he observed the cage is occupied, and waited for Atari to talk a new plan. Doing that, he chose to stay a bit in between the gates as a temporary shelter. Also I don't outrule the possibility he might wait for other(s) from party to come to PK cage.

Finally, I would like to point out that I would appreciate your description of the events, because a screenshot is not very accurate sometimes. Also feel free to ask me or any member of the staff (which I am not affiliated to in any way) as well as other forumers about the rules, server workings and other gameplay subjects.

Nah I'll tell u what happened here..

me and hax dont like rounin much... well actually we dont like him at all.

He was already pk in arena when we came across him, and we started chasing him down.

He teleported into the PK cage, and hax as an MG had to go through the gate. He must of screen shotted just as hax was doing so.


If you care to observe the picture closely, you will see that;

rounin was pk status.
hax was attacking him with whirlwind
rounin had been in the cage long enough to kill 4 mobs
my sword dancer and foot are visible on the right hand side of the pic

its just a shame i wasnt more in shot, or it would show clearly how we were chasing him.

I cant beleive the nerve of this guy putting this up and trying to claim its evidence of a gatekilling. He is such a lying little t**t.

it realy doesnt matter if hax is attacking him or the mobs, he is standing in the gate attacking wich is illegal.

omfg learn to read before replying...

he was walking through the gate chasing rounin, if walking through the gate is illegal then only an SM can legally be in a cage....

rounin took the screenshot just as he reached that point, whilst i was right behind.

there is nothing illegal about this action, other than the fact rounin is attempting to falsify a gatekilling report.

hax has 7rr ... why would he want to gatekill?

i just realised !! observe also there is very little item drops in the image, infact there are 4 items on the ground and rounins image shows that he killed 4 monsters... QED?

so... in other words.. u were harrassing him by pking him wich has absolutly no reason at all in arena, and rounin just happend to have the best timing ever by pressing the prtsc button while u were chasing him just after he turned around to face u.
he has some pretty good reflexes then.

first of all, we were not harrassing him... he was already PK status before we found him, and its perfectly legit to pk a pk'er.

infact i got hero status for doing it.

secondly gatekilling is killing mobs which hax clearly wasnt doing.

thirdly its not difficult for someone using evil spirits to tap 1 button on the keyboard... now maybe u have to peer at the keyboard to find the right key, but if you know where it is its very easy... it doesnt require superhuman reflexes as you have attempted to make out. he didnt ... _just_ turn around to face us... he was in the cage long enough to kill 4 mobs with his evil spirits before hax arrived... he had that time because he used teleport and me and hax had to run around the long way.

fourthly if he cant stand being pk'ed then he shouldnt become a pk'er to start with. and he certainly shouldnt attempt to use a dodgy circumstantial screen shot to lie to staff for revenge.

Hello Glamdring.

I apologize for Atari's response, maybe it's a bit harsh, but please understand he is feeling framed here as much as Hax actually is.

I inspected again the rules to check your post against them. So far I found this rules fittting to your response's approach:

10. Do not train or stand in stadium gates (where mobs can't hit you).
Hax was not training, that is set now. It is also clear that he wasn't interested in not being killed by mobs. Therefore he can only be accused of standing. But standing is not a crime unless afk-ed, or intended standing for not being hit by mobs and doing something else.Now, that we know Hax was hunting down Rounin, where would you expect him to stay? Do consider Rounin was a PK-er, this was no time for niceties, and I am pretty much sure neither would have Rounin waited for Hax to take propper position in cage (if he wouldn't have ran, that is) This brings us to the next rule:

1. Players will have 3 mins to answer up or they are considered afk. If an afker is caught they will get warped to a special place to be killed over and over.
This rule, while covering all types of afk-ing, does also apply to gate-killing while afk. As you can see clearly, a 3 minute period of time is granted to the person being checked so he/she could respond. But we know Hax didn't afk, and if Rounin wanted to accuse of afk-ing, he would have checked him, and screenshot his check for proof. By not doing this, Hax cannot be considered afk-ing in this situation.
There is one more rule:

4. No AFK Checks With Other Characters Than Staff Characters.
I know this is a STAFF-related rule but do consider the implications. It basically means that no STAFF member can afk-check players without a propper STAFF character designed for work. But from this we can also understand that, if STAFF can't do that, then the mere players can't even think of doing it. Otherwise every player that holds grudges against another could afk-check him just to frame him/her. Also, STAFF would do accurate checks and punishments, and wouldn't want this happening.

In conclusion, from all this rules we can extract that:
1. Hax was not standing nor training in between the gates. He was in a state of transition using the gates.
2. Hax was not afk.
3. STAFF personnel are the only ones to conduct AFK-Checks and in between the gates checks.

I would also want to point out that, while I have no judging and executive power, Rounin does look like trying to frame here not only a friend, but a fellow TwiMu citizen. I can only express my disgust toward such practices.
