i think trading should remain ingame for two reasons
1. from the webpage it is possible for an account to be logged into from several computers at the same time, meanwhile only one login at a time on mu itself. although this only provides a minimal improvement on security from account hacking, at least it is something. (if this happens, someone else probably has your password, so its not going to save you that much)
2. if the trading script has a bug (no insult intended) it can cause untold problems. i heard about a bug that occured a few weeks ago (now fixed) where a vote for zen was not properly recorded and allowed multiple votes per hour, each time earning 1,000,000 zen.
a comment i have about the complexity of the trading script with regard to finding empty spaces in the vault, the trade could work simillary to the jewel reward for donations by swapping say the first 4 rows in the vault of the 2 players accounts (of course with a check if an item lies on the 4th and 5th rows.) this would simplify the script so it dosn't have to look for specified items and other potential (unforseen) headaches.
