Apparently the NPC bug wasn't fixed with this new update either, so now I'm trying to solve this problem another way.

Starting from now exc items can't be sold to NPC or in Personal Shop on all servers, except server 4, which is also trade server, you can trade exc items on server 4 without any problems... And on Server 4 all NPCs were removed.

This way hoping that when people sell items to NPC their valuable items won't get sold too in the process.

Personal shop still works but people can't buy your exc items that are in your personal shop... this is a side effect of the settings that don't allow exc items to be sold to NPC...

Still working to fix this NPC bug for good so we won't have to have these server settings as they are now.


PS: This should protect your exe items, BUT not ancient items, I've already had a player (Veliant) reporting he lost his ancient sword... so once again, please put in vault precious items before selling stuff to NPC!

This is the only critical bug so far and we're trying our best to fix it as soon as possible, but we'll need players to cooperate for their own sake, to avoid them loosing further items.

UPDATE ON THE MATTER:

I've finally found after few hrs of testings how exactly the BUG is caused and how it happens... I'll try to explain step by step here, so you can all AVOID Doing this, it's very simple...


When you sell items to shop, there are the fallowing steps:
Step1: Open NPC Shop
Step2: Select item from your inventory and place it in shop to be sold
Step3: A window appears asking you "Are you sure you want to sell it?"
Step4: You press OK (NOW Here's the BIG Catch, press that OK, only once, don't be in a hurry to click it 2-3 times. PRESS THE OK ONLY ONCE!)
If you double click the OK when selling an item then a second window will pop out asking you once again "Are you sure you want to sell it?" and that window is infact selling your weapon to the NPC...



SO, things NOT to do when selling items to NPC Shops:
- Don't BE in a HURRY! Cos that's what most likely will cause you to double click OK and then click new window another OK without even noticing there were 2 windows asking you for one item.
- Be very careful when you sell items, if a second window will ask you "Are you sure you want to sell it?" click Cancel!
- Avoid double clicking when pressing OK and you will be fine.



As far as tests go, I noticed that only weapons go missing, so your sets should be safe, if you have no weapon on your character even if you encounter the bug, nothing gets sold on the second window that asks you "Are you sure you want to sell it?" (this doesn't mean "ohh lets go test out and see if my set goes missing").

It's also safe if you place your weapon in your inventory when selling stuff to NPC, so you won't have to use vault as a safe keep.

Also, since yesterday when server settings were changed (so exc items can't be sold to NPC) your exc weapons are safe, they wont be sold to NPC even if the bug takes place... BUT be very careful with your ancient weapons, I cannot protect those items in server settings so you must avoid this bug if you have ancient weapon on your character!

I've done all I could so far to fix this bug and it's half way fixed and most important part is that it has been fully discovered and now coders can work on finding the code that does it and fixing it from the source.
