Default hopefully get new system next spring

i'm hoping to get a new pc next spring. ( if all goes well )
i have a system picked out and i know things change by the minute when it comes to computers. however i want to get some input from others as to what you think. i'm allowing myself 1500 dollars USD to spend. yes i could spend more and get top of the line but i'm setting a limit.
the system i want will include as a minimum:
dual core intel
mother board need input i'm not so good here
4 gigs 1066 ram
graphics card- i'm thinkin 2 ati radeon 4670 cards with 512ram
a 19inch lcd ( i'll give to my son with old pc, keeping my 22inch wide screen )
350gig sata hard drive
this is where i started, then configured to match what i can afford
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/I...nfigurator_top

let's see what you all can come up with to help me dream on a budget

Looks pretty good, except you might wanna go AMD if you wanna game... as they say AMD is good for gaming, Intel is good for servers and stuff like that...

with AMD should i stay with Radeon card? or NVIDIA? or does it matter? I've had good luck with intel cpu and Radeon as far as stability so far with my present system. i prefer stablility over speed but i like speed too^^

if u want gaming, this is the best u can get:

Processor: Phenom X4 9950
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 (2gb)
Motherboard: AMD 750 FX

I know this is kick ass and must be $_$ expensive but

if u search Ebay and other sites... you will spend about 1200$ to build the whole computer

I recommend Intel & NVIDIA though I use AMD myself. My AMD is 6000+ dual core (3GHz) and it produces a huge amount of heat. It's not a problem with water cooling... But with air cooling (2 case fans+CPU sink&fan+power fan) CPU heated up to 75+ celsius and that's alot. I bet Intel processors run much cooler. Yes, AMD has some things for games that Intel processors don't have...

and add 3 nvidia geforce 9800 gtx's they are 150 bucks a piece and can play every game at max graphics. Only in crysis game you have lower the graphics from aa 16x to 8x. Only a geforce 260 and up can handle crysis at max settings but they go for 500 a pop. all depends on what you want. ATI sucks balls don't utilize direct x 10 effectivly and shitty driver support they rarely have driver updates ,while invidia always has driver updates and beta's. also alot more games tend to favor toward nvidia and not ati.

$1,039.99 now add up 3 cards $150 a piece 2 more gbs of ram at 30 bucks a pop
total $1,549.99

My amd never over heats and i have 3 vid cards running and that produces alot of heat, cpu still uneffected and cooled. Godd idea to do is take your fan off add some silverdyne cpu coolant gel then put the heatsink fan back on. i promise you will see a difference.
