By the way, the iMac has an AMD Radeon card. It's probably Windows you'll be missing most, not the hardware. :P

ATI radeon not amd AMD is the CPU, your cpu is intel which is more for server machines than gaming. Say what you want, your operating system is basically compatiable to nothing almost lol. Every game you see and that comes out is for windows, not mac. There are emulators that emulate some windows to try and play windows based game. Shit who wants to go through that? 90 percent o the sofware market is windows dominated.

And that makes me wonder, why would anyone buy an overpriced Mac instead of a well built windows based platform? I admit, they look good but come on, they still are overpriced and the fuss to get it all set isn't worth it. Of course it's up to the person to chose. I go for windows.

"AMD Radeon HD 6970M graphics processor with 1GB of GDDR5 memory"

Sure looks like it says AMD to me. xD
The processor is Intel though, you're right about that.

Anyways, I don't really play games anymore anyway. :P

It's not that extremely overpriced anymore compared to a general pc of the same capacity.
A Mac is also very well built.
I'm not sure what fuss you're talking about because when I got it I had it running within a few minutes. ^^

As for the software: Yes, a lot of software is made for Windows systems.
However, the Mac was originally designed for and used in a rather specific field.
Programs such as the Adobe series are still designed for Mac. The Windows version of these programs is there because so many people use Windows, not because Windows is better.
Macs are usually better at high end graphical work in photography and digital art than Windows systems because they are designed for it.
I happen to be into photography and digital art more than I am into gaming, which is the main reason I chose for a Mac over a pc.
