Yeah I agree that it would be nice to have some active staff members in game.
It's not easy to realize that though...
Not just anyone can become staff member of course, they'd have to be communicative and not have a bad reputation.
Also they have to be active both in game and on the forums.

The main problem is that sometimes staff members start active and grow inactive over time.
They get busier lives because they start working, advance in school or have other stuff to worry about.
Choices about what to spend your time on have to be made of course.

As for myself, I have gotten a lot less time on my hands over the years and have grown quite inactive in game. I just don't have the time to log in and actually do stuff.
It seems like little but logging in and actually doing stuff takes up more time then you'd expect.
I am a lot more active on forums because it's easy to do a quick forum check by reading some new posts, which I can do even at school/work.
I'm much more the forum person anyway. ^^

in that case STAFF should mail them if they going to be back active soon , if they don't they should be decreased to normal players. and search for new active STAFF members.

oh sorry Ghost :p u used other words but i thought we were talking about something diff.

I Hope you all understand why i made this post. But i remember when i first played mu.. didnt knew anything about forums why there were used for. and when no STAFF online you got serveral questions. and would be nice if there is allmost someone that might could help you

ive said it years ago and just dropped it coz Twilight seemed to be doing so well.

these days its doing awesome and better than ever but the fact theres staff members ingame is definitely not doing any good....

A 24/7 mmorpg really and should have active staffs to look at the game and the whole community 24/7 to make the game clean and more fun. No events right now cause there's no one there to organize an event. A mu server with no event? Hmmmmmm.

Keep the game intresting do not go afk.. now u just afk somewhere because no event is there..

Trivia , Hide&Seek , Kill Reflect guy , Find me those items with those options,.....

when those things are there ppl would less afk i think , because oo a event , i might win it and i could use something.

Well as others need know a server is a game that also needs the attention..but owners & admin are the only ones that hire other staff members as Employees/managers.

In a real job u are hired to perform your duty, tasks,obligations, etc.... as a manager you have duties to keep everything in order and going smoothly...If it cannot be done they will dismiss you Same i think pertains to servers... Being staff is not just a new name color or a look IM STAFF. Its an opportunity and a chance to prove your abilities and knowledge to the owner and server.
IF a staff member is not going to be able to perform their duty some should take Feva's point(when he had a baby he requested to be removed as staff so he can handle his new adaption to the family)
Frank and phoenix depend on you(other staff members) to perform your duties, as you said and applied on your applications.

Yes we all understand that everyone has duties in real life also... But look at some of the majority of old players....ALOT of them were very very active, everyday lvling their chars and resetting.... as soon as applications came out and got hired... ONly active in forums, Not many members do come to forum So alot look for staff members in game..

WE members are not saying you need to be active 24/7, But look at the majority of players and look at the staff, it needs to kind of be balanced out, 99% is all on 1 time zone, therfore making harder for any staff to be in game when needed...

Frank and phoenix are aware of this issue...But keep in mind it is their call when to Open New recruit applications.

Staff who are inactive at times always post before they are gone with real life issues like family and school. Theor positions are open to them when they come back. Not gonna fire them for inactiveness when they have contributed their time to the server in the past. Do we need active staff? Yes we do, and I have a few people in mind for staff. There will be no applications, This time around Shag and I will determine who we gonna ask to come in to staff. New people, and players I don't know don't hold your breath, and don't go posting about asking to be on staff. Trust is deep issue with me, and trust with me is slowly earned. Time will show me the true loyal twilight mu players who are here for the players and for the server. Our decisions are not based on favortism, so you can throw that excuse out the window. Quite a few players here I am close to can't be stgaff due to 1 not staff material and 2. Not active/or exp managing server duties. We go by a set of guide lines when dertmining a player for staff.
